A stationary lunge: one foot in front, one behind, and you lower and rise without stepping. The stable stance lets you use more weight than in regular lunges.
How to do it
- 1Hold dumbbells and take a long split stance.
- 2Keep the torso upright with most of the weight on the front leg.
- 3Lower straight down until the back knee almost touches the floor.
- 4Drive up through the front leg, finish all reps and switch sides.
