About

Lateral raises on a machine target the middle portion of the deltoid muscle: you move your arms outward against the resistance of levers equipped with padded supports. Adjust the axis of rotation and the supports to align with your shoulders and elbows, then lift your arms to approximately shoulder level, making sure not to shrug your shoulders.

How to do it

  1. 1Press your arms against the pads and raise your arms out to the sides.
  2. 2Stop at approximately shoulder level, keeping your neck elongated and your torso pressed against the backrest.
  3. 3Lower the levers back to the starting position in a controlled manner, ensuring the weight stack does not clang.
