About
The reverse fly—performed on a machine while seated—targets the rear shoulders. Facing the support pad, you move the handles outward in a wide arc. This movement engages the posterior deltoids and the rotator cuff, while the trapezius and rhomboid muscles assist in the execution.
How to do it
- 1Move both arms out to the sides and back in a wide arc, keeping the angle at your elbows almost constant.
- 2Stop when your upper arms are in line with your torso. Do not shrug your shoulders or try to pull your arms any further back behind your body.
- 3Under control, return the handles to the starting position so that your arms are once again pointing forward.
