Seated leg curls

About

The seated leg curl is performed on a machine: the knees are flexed against resistance while the hip joints remain in a flexed position and the thighs stay secured. This exercise isolates the hamstrings, with the seated variation tracked separately, allowing for its own specific settings and training history.

How to do it

  1. 1Start with your legs nearly straight, without forcing your knees into a fully locked, rigid, or hyperextended position.
  2. 2Bend your knees, moving the roller down and back as far as you can while keeping your pelvis and thighs pressed against the pads.
  3. 3Slowly return the roller until the back of your thighs are extended, and repeat—ensuring the weight stack plates do not clang together.
