About

A barbell pull from the floor with a wide stance and the hands inside the knees. The torso is more upright than in a conventional deadlift, so the glutes, quadriceps and inner thighs work harder.

How to do it

  1. 1Take a wide stance with toes out and the bar over midfoot.
  2. 2Grip the bar inside your knees with straight arms.
  3. 3Push the knees out, drop the hips and flatten your back.
  4. 4Lift by pushing the floor away and keeping the bar close to your body.
  5. 5Lock out fully at the top, then lower the bar along the same path.
